The Kawai CX202LO is an 88-key digital piano developed to provide an acoustic piano-inspired touch and natural piano tone. Its Responsive Hammer Compact II (RHCII) keyboard action combines triple-sensor key detection with graded key weighting for a responsive and expressive playing experience.
The Harmonic Imaging (HI) sound engine uses samples from the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand piano and provides 192-note polyphony. The CX202LO offers 17 sounds and six reverb types, together with two 12 cm speakers powered by a 20 W + 20 W amplification system. The Grand Feel Pedal system includes damper, soft and sostenuto pedals, with half-pedal support for the damper pedal.
Bluetooth 5.2 provides both MIDI and Audio connectivity, while PianoRemote and PiaBookPlayer support integration with iOS and Android devices. Virtual Technician allows 13 parameters, including touch, resonance, tone and pedal response, to be adjusted according to personal preference. Dual, Split and Four Hands modes are complemented by built-in Burgmüller, Czerny, Beyer and Alfred's lesson pieces.
