The Vic Firth X5B American Classic Extreme 5B is a 1/2-inch longer version of the standard 5B. Its additional length provides increased reach and leverage while retaining the familiar feel of a 5B. The Extreme models in the American Classic series are designed for drummers looking for additional reach and power.
Made from hickory, the X5B measures 0.595 inches (1.51 cm) in diameter and 16.5 inches (41.91 cm) in length. Its medium taper provides a balanced feel between the butt and tip of the stick. A tear-drop-shaped wood tip and lacquer finish complete the design.
